Adrian Heath

£140.00

Adrian Heath. Jane Rye. 2012. Lund Humphries. ISBN: 9781848220386

The first (and I think only) monograph on the pioneering British abstract artist Adrian Heath. Famously known as the man who taught Terry Frost how to paint whilst they were prisoners of war in Germany. Heath embraced a stricter constructivist approach and was closer to the harder edged abstraction of Mary and Kenneth Martin. Perhaps never quite making it into the premier league of British 20th Century art, this fine book makes a strong case that he should be.

Well illustrated and with an authoritative text, another fine book from Lund Humphries. Now out of print.

Very good copy, no marks or creases, it has been kept in a protective cellophane cover since I bought it in 2012.
